It’s worse than door to door selling and getting each potential customer slamming the door on your face. The worst thing is that I watched it right after “40 year old Virgin”. As I look back I wonder what the hell did I do to inflict so much pain on myself. This is the first movie I’ve seen in forever that made me think of Roger Ebert’s famous review of “North” as a comparison.

If it weren’t for Chris Pine’s natural charm, this movie probably wouldn’t have been half as good. I’m not usually a fan of romantic comedies, but I found that I really liked this one, for its main character as well as those around him. There is also a parallel storyline of Danny volunteering to undergo experimental surgery that could potentiall grant him limited vision, but it takes a backseat to the romance story. The humour in this one is genuinely funny without being mean-spirited, and he ending, while unorthodox is both happy and satusfying. Sean and Leigh Anne are foster parents to Michael while S.J is their only son who has good relations with Michael as his big brother. Before moving in with Sean and Leigh, Michael had lived in other foster homes, as well as on the streets .

Not that he’s letting that hold him back–for the most part, Danny refuses to let his visual impairment get in the way of anything. Is it supposed to be a romantic comedy, a drama about interracial dating or perhaps a feel good story about a blind man wanting to see and finding something special instead? This movie is a train wreck and though it initially seems like a good concept, the execution is way off!!
All in all, it’s a funny, innocent film that will make you laugh. I happened upon this film whilst searching for a romantic that portrayed a different storyline than the most common boy meets girl. I don’t tend to watch a lot of foreign films – but this film reminds me why I should as it’s definitely one of my favourites. The storyline is unique – the only critisim I have is that I wish they had prolonged the ending and introduced that scene a little sooner. Not that it exactly ruined the film for me because it was a brilliant ending. And it only made the chemistry between the two so much more intense along with some comedic moments that I loved and a storyline so filled with talent and compassion for the arts.

We thoroughly enjoyed the concept and the way it played out. So, all I am going to say is that this is the best film I have seen for years. No cops, no car chases, no daft stunts – just a charming story told in a way that completely involves you . I highly recommend you find a DVD, which is what I’m about to do as soon as I’ve finished this review. Ultimately it’s not a film that you’ll think you’ve seen this all before, it’s refreshing, funny and classy.

This takeaway, so common to romantic comedies, is the bane of my existence. To its defense, Blind Date tries to nuance the matter, as one might find motivation in another, but still needs to independently commit to change. Even so, there’s sexfinder.com just an excessive amount of wish fulfillment about the movie, as too much is left unexplored to really make it worthwhile. I would recommend seeing this movie only if you are extremely bored or there is nothing else to watch. After watching this movie, I have wasted an hour or so of my time which I won’t get back. The writer should have really done many more rewrites in this script, and although the execution of this movie begs you to like it – at the end you are left with nothing but an big empty hole.

The structure and premise of the story aren’t too bad at all, but the execution is lousy. Blind Date is a lighthearted and charming movie directed by Clovis Cornillac.
Rarely, for example, has an entire house been moved for less comic effect than in this movie. If the movie lacks a strong human core that we can care about – the sort of core Peter Sellers and Dudley Moore have created with Edwards – it does have a lot of funny stuff going on.
